Bad Pictures

Yeah, I know.........I haven't been on the BLOG lately. It is not a priority, can you tell??
So here are some things I have been working on. As usual, bad pictures.

Yes, I have been knitting. I did finish the socks for my friend, not an amputee, she was very happy & understands clearly how many stitches go into knitting socks, but don't ask me to make you socks, I won't do it!! But Sockergirl will..........for a price........unless you are her #1 fan, then there are exceptions. No picture of that second sock though, it's gone now.

I also finished the fingerless gloves to match my hat & scarf from my previous blog entry.
I made a scarf for another friend. She gave me some novelty yarn a couple months ago. She's not a blog fan, so I can say I didn't like the yarn at all..........but I knew she did........so I made her a scarf & gave away the leftover yarn. Shhhhhhhhhhhhh.......don't tell her. No picture of the scarf. I don't like it. But I KNOW that she will & that's what counts. It's wrapped & sitting in a bag upstairs.





I made a baby hat & booties for my friend who just had a baby girl. I really wanted to make a sweater too........but there are SO MANY things I want to make, I stopped here.






I've been working on a cotton chenille blanket for months & am currently back at it. Simple garter stitch pattern. It's kind of weird, but I will keep going on it & finish it up anyway.
I did start another pair of socks, but they are just sitting, now that I went back to my blanket.


We've had quite a week of snow here. I took the day off work on Friday, & just may have to again on Monday. The guilt trip from all the Type A workaholics..............yuk. I hate that. Though I don't like the snow, Lacey sure does!! Later today when the kids are out, Lacey & I will join them. Lacey has already started without them though!

Still Knitting, but NOT Blogging....

Who has time to blog?? At least riding the bus gives me time to knit now.
Here is one sock I finished. I need to finish the next one before Christmas. I have a special friend that I intend to give these to.






One of our vendors at work had a baby boy & I promised to make a hat & booties. Here they are. They will go in the mail today.














And for me........I made a hat & a scarf. I started making fingerless gloves to match.

I got a STEAL today!! A 100% hand knit wool sweater from Jo Sharp for $10 at a yarn shop that is closing. But actually is wasn't $10. Everything was 40% off, even that!! I got it for $6!!! Can you tell how nice it is??

I just now finished my other sock!! 2 weeks & 1 day!! Not bad considering the first one was on the needles for a year!! I'm too lazy to take a picture. They fit & everything!! Now I think I will go wind some yarn & start another pair!!

Yeah, here it is........now I've got to start the other one!!

I asked a good friend the other day if she had checked out my blog. She said, "Like I really care about your knitting??" Gee, thanks! I'm sure glad YOU don't feel that way! And I care about YOUR knitting too!! I didn't bother telling her that I had a pie on this. I'm not going to give her a piece of pie, that's for sure!!

Do you see that piece of pie that is "missing"?? It isn't really missing, it's yours, actually. Why don't you come over for pie & ice cream?? You bring the ice cream, cuz I made the pie!! I picked the blackberries & Sockergirl's Mom picked the blueberries.
